Anniversary Ode to my Beloved Wife (1976)

A family poem by Mike — faithfully transcribed and preserved.

Typed transcription

How still of all these happy years,
Ebb and flow of married life,
Secure in constant fellowship
Of having a wonderful wife.

Kindness, love and affection,
These I receive and more,
Given freely without question—
With what bounty can one be poor?

It is indeed a wondrous feeling,
Risen anew from a vow,
To be always warm, welcome,
Deserved—this I avow.

So to my final tribute,
To you my Darling wife:
Being with you more often
Is my idea of life.
